DESCRIPTION
M. RESIDENCE
MUÑOZ ARCHITECTURAL STUDIO
This residential project’s elongated lot led Architect Joel Muñoz to divide the house into three main parts: the motor court, the main house, and the annex that includes the master’s bedroom, den, and lanai—all connected to the main house via a bridge. This layout allows you to walk through the home and appreciate its Contemporary Tropical aesthetic. Clean lines and modern innovations (rainwater recycling, Austphil windows) are complemented by elements of nature through the bodies of water that surround lush greenery or deck areas situated around the pool and pond. Full-height glass windows and pivot doors allow for a panoramic view of the outdoor area, while a “Big Ass” fan takes advantage of the double-height ceiling and maximizes ventilation. To finish off the look, the home is clad with black slate for texture, while oil was rubbed to the wood flooring to create a rustic finish.
