VALLEY HOUSE

MUÑOZ ARCHITECTURAL STUDIO

DESIGNER

Set on a sprawling 2500sqm golf course property, the seemingly single-level home features wood-look eaves and fascia that lend the illusion of a flat roof, while extended eaves and PVC jalousie windows help protect the structure from the elements. A spacious motor court up front and a separate garage—that houses the owner’s equipment and tools for working on his cars and bikes—make for sizeable areas for this hobby.

Stepping into the foyer, meanwhile, leads you to the home’s midlevel where an open riser staircase, with marble stair threads flanked by tubular steel stringers, leads you to the living room below where the house’s double-volume height is more apparent. While 75 percent of the bedrooms enjoy a view of the golf course at back, it is the expansive deck, with its 20m lap pool, that holds the best vista.
